How long do the weekly classes run for?
The group classes run for 55mins.
What are the fees?
• For Venue (in person) group classes, fees are semester based (Jan-June or July-Dec).
• For Online Zoom group classes, fees are term based.

We do not charge joining fees. We have highly experienced, skilled and qualified teachers to ensure stronger learning outcomes. Please contact us directly to discuss fees for private tuition, workshops and school incursion options.
What if my child misses a class, can we get a refund or a make up class?
We are unable to offer make up classes, refunds or discounts for missed classes. This ensures we maintain a stable learning environment for all students with minimal class disruptions.
How many students in each group class?
Our class sizes are capped at 15 students for our in-person venue classes, and 10 students for our online Zoom group classes. These small class sizes allow our experienced teachers to give each student the attention and recognition they need to achieve their personal best.
Do you have COVID-SAFE practices in place?
Yes. The health, safety & well-being of the Super Speak community is our highest priority.

• No touch policy in class: revised games & activities to accommodate
• Physical distancing measures in class: minimise contact & maximise space
• Hand sanitiser: provided before class to each student where possible
• Regular cleaning: class environment will be cleaned regularly
• Room density: meeting the required room density guidelines as per DHHS guidelines
• Parents will not be permitted inside our buildings until further notice. Students to be dropped off & picked up punctually from the entrance / exit doors at the start & end of classes.
• Parents are asked to apply appropriate physical distancing practices at drop off & pick up.
• Parents are not permitted to use the indoor toilet facilities in our venues. These facilities are reserved for student use only.
Can my child join any time of the year?
If there are any vacancies in a class, students can join us anytime up until the end of the first week of the second term of each Semester (e.g. Semester 1 cut off is end of Week 1 term 2; Semester 2 cut off is end of week 1 term 4).
What age can my child start attending Super Speak classes?
We recommend children are at least 6 years old to join our classes when commencing. However, if you have any queries, please call our office to discuss your child's individual needs.
Can I change classes or venues during the term or semester?
We ask that you please consider your venue & class choice carefully at the time of enrolment. Should your circumstances change, we will make every effort to accomodate the change however, please note that our classes and venues do fill up and if a class is full we may not be able to accommodate any changes until the new semester.
Do Super Speak classes run during school holidays?
Super Speak classes are held during school term. Whilst we currently do not run classes during school holidays, we have plans to do so soon, so please join our email database or like our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/SuperSpeak to keep updated.
Is Super Speak only for shy people?
No. Super Speak is for everyone. This includes a whole range from shy to outgoing people. We have students who join the programme to help build confidence, students who join because they love performing, students who join because they love to speak in public and others who want to have fun and meet new friends.
Are parents allowed to watch venue class?
Having parents sit in on the class can be distracting for some children and may prevent them from fully participating. For this reason, we do not permit parents, friends or family members in the class during lesson time. We ask that parents drop off their child and then pick up at the end of class. You will have the opportunity to be an audience member during your child’s end of semester parent class. If you have any concerns or queries about your child’s progress or behaviour, you can contact our office to discuss.
How long do I need to enrol my child for?
Enrolments are to be made for a minimum period of one semester (2 x terms) at our venues. Students can enrol at any time of the year and can pay pro rata for the remainder of the semester. We recommend that parents enrol their child with the intention of staying for at least one year in order to fully experience and participate in the range of public speaking & drama activities that have been designed to assist our students in becoming confident & competent speakers and performers for life. Our curriculum has been designed so that a student can be enrolled for 10 years without repeating the same class.
We have 2 or more children in our family that would like to enrol. Do you offer sibling discounts?
For in-person venue group classes, we offer a sibling discount of 5% to families who enrol for a full semester with more than one child enrolled at the same time (applied after any other discounts are made). Sibling discounts are only available for full semester payments. No sibling discounts can be applied to pro-rata fees.
No discounts are available on Zoom online group classes.
Do the students need any special clothing for the class?
No. We recommend students wear clothes that allow them to move freely and which they are comfortable in. Many students come in their school uniforms as they attend class straight after school.
My child is a little unsure if they want to attend. Can we try a class?
For our semester based (2 x terms) venue classes, we offer a trial class only if positions are available. If after trying a class your child is happy to continue, you can then proceed with enrolment.
We are unable to offer trial classes for online zoom groups as they only have a 1 term enrolment period.
My child is confident at home but quite shy at school. Will Super Speak help?
Our classes are designed to increase confidence and self-esteem. We have had many parents and teachers comment on how much more confident the students have become after attending our classes for a semester or more. Our teachers are very supportive. They encourage students to work with each other, support one another, praise each other and work in an environment that is respectful, fun and friendly.
Every child will progress at their own rate, but generally after 12-18 months of classes increased confidence in public speaking is evident.
Do I need any experience in public speaking or drama?
Our classes are suitable for students of all abilities and no past experience is necessary.
What do I do if my child will be absent?
It is important that Super Speak teachers are made aware when any absences are intentional as this allays any fears that a child has not arrived as intended and also allows session planning suitable for participating. What happens if I am late to pick up my child?
It is a requirement of enrolment that parents agree to pick up their child punctually at the end of their class. We ask parents to please consider this prior to enrolling their child.
Our teachers are required to remain with your child until they are safely collected. A charge of $1 per minute may be charged to you if you are more than 10 minutes late to collect your child.
